The Christian County Colonels, along with new head coach Dior Curtis, were in Paducah Saturday for some summer basketball action and more time to get acquainted with one another. During a Grind Session event, the Colonels got the chance to take the floor for a couple of games.

The Colonels took on Graves County in the opener and fell to a very physical Eagles team. Christian County fell behind early and could never quite recover. Coach Curtis noted that the Colonels did show some bright spots throughout the game.

Rashean Stevenson had 17 points and 8 rebounds to lead the Colonel effort. Kam Williams added 9 points and 4 rebounds. Nadarrion Rowe chipped in with 7 points.

In the second game against Paducah Tilghman, Christian County led for the majority of a fast-paced game before dropping the decision. Coach Curtis added that his Colonels rebounded well and had some chances late that just did not go down.

Nadarrion Rowe had a big game for Christian County with 18 points. Rashean Stevenson finished with 10 points, while Kam Williams had a solid stat line with 8 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Coach Curtis added that the team is improving and learning every game.
