It did not take long to settle the issue between the University Heights Academy Lady Blazers and the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons in the opening round of the girls’ 2nd Region All A Classic Monday evening. UHA’s Kendall Hancock scored two goals in the first two minutes of the contest and the Lady Blazers rolled to an 8-0 win over the Lady Falcons.

Audrey Perry added a goal at the 9:00 mark to push the lead out to 3-0. Gracie Ausenbaugh then scored the first two of her four goals at 12:00 and 14:30 to blow the lead out to 5-0.

Ausenbaugh found the net again at 25:30, this time drilling a long shot from out in front of the goal, pushing the lead out to 6-0. Her fourth goal of the half came at 33:30. After the Lady Blazers had not one, but two shots deflect off the crossbar, Ausenbaugh directed a header into the net giving UHA a 7-0 lead that would carry into the half.

The Lady Blazer then ended things quickly in the opening moments of the second half. Kendall Hancock completed her hat trick on a run down the middle of the field and ended the match at 44:30 due to the 8-goal rule.

In addition to the offensive firepower, the UHA defense smothered the Fort Campbell attack, allowing the Lady Falcons just two shots on goal for the night.
