Playing without at least one starter for the third straight match, the Trigg County Lady Wildcats dropped a three-set match to Union County on Thursday at Wildcat Gym.

The Bravettes tallied the 25-15, 25-6, 25-9 victory – their first of the 2024 season.

Union used a 5-0 run to take the lead in the first set and took command with a 6-0 run.

It was a 10-0 run by the Bravettes that sealed the second-set win behind the strong serving of Addison Tamayo. Trigg struggled in the set, never piecing together consecutive points.

Union County closed out the win with a 25-9 third-set advantage.

After a winless 2021 season, Union County has posted two straight winning campaigns and improved to 1-2 with Thursday’s win. It was also Union’s fifth straight win over the Lady Wildcats dating back to 2021.

Trigg County still leads the all-time series 18-9.

Ella Dollison had seven assists for the Lady Wildcats and Carmen Boyd and Holly Britton each had four kills.

Union County will play Livingston Central on Monday, while Trigg County will play at Hopkinsville on the same day.
