A Todd County Central Lady Rebel basketball player is getting the chance to continue her athletic and educational career at the collegiate level. Senior Alexis Taylor announced via social media over the weekend that she would be attending Midway University.
Taylor was the Lady Rebels leading scorer during the 2023-2024 season and helped lead Todd County Central to within one game of the Girls Sweet 16. The Lady Rebels lost to Bowling Green in the 4th Region championship game.
Taylor averaged a double-double during her junior season with 18.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per contest. She played in all 32 games for the Lady Rebels.
Taylor becomes the third Lady Rebel over the past three years to sign to play college basketball, joining Jamaia Burks (Brescia University) and Abby Williams (Cumberland University).
