The Trigg County girls’ soccer team won for the fourth time in five outings with an 11-1 40-minute beatdown of Logan County at the Christian County Lady Colonel Showcase on Saturday.

The Lady Wildcats got started inside the first two minutes on Landie Hite’s goal off a Lilli Richardson assist and doubled the advantage two minutes later on an own goal.

Maggie Wolfe headed in a perfectly placed corner kick by Leiah Hite with just over 10 minutes played before Julie Dalen found the back of the net with a volley off a cross from Leiah Hite.

Leiah Hite scored the next two goals with help from Addison Humphries and Dalen, and Addison Humphries beat the keeper unassisted with 11 minutes left in the half.

Wolfe scored on a rocket from well outside the 18-yard box to make it 8-0, but the Lady Wildcats weren’t done yet.  Callie Boggess added another off a pass from Wolfe, followed less than a minute later by a solo effort from Brooke Humphries.

Leiah Hite finished off her hat trick with a goal inside the final three minutes before Logan County finally got on the scoreboard with a strike by Kenzie Frcka.

Goalkeeper Caroline Kosak made a single save for the Lady Wildcats.

Trigg County improved to 7-4 ahead of a matchup with Graves County on Monday.  Logan County lost its sixth straight to slip to 4-8.
