After dropping a heartbreaker in the All A regional championship Saturday on their home floor, the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors went on the road and got back on the winning track Tuesday evening. The Lady Warriors traveled to Calhoun and came back with a straight-set win over the McLean County Lady Cougars.

The first set of the night was a battle to the end with the Lady Warriors pulling out a 25-23 win. The second set was also a tough one, but again the Lady Warriors did what they needed to to come away with a 25-20 win to go up two sets to none in the match.

At that point, the momentum was fully on HCA’s side and the Lady Warriors closed out the sweep with a 25-13 win in the third set.

Katie Cansler led the Lady Warrior attack with 14 kills. She added two assists and one service ace. Mya Goodwin finished the night with 11 kills and 4 service aces.

Hadlee Hayes had another big match setting the table for her teammates. She ended up with 11 assists and she had three kills.

Heritage Christian now gets ready to get back on the court on the road Thursday evening as they travel across town to take on the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers in an 8th District contest.
