Trigg Takes Care of Business Against St. Mary

The Trigg County Wildcats got their second-highest offensive output of the soccer season Friday night. The Wildcats scored five times on their way to a 5-1 win over St. Mary at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.

The win was the second in the last three outings for the Wildcats. The other was a 2-2 tie against Caldwell County.

The Wildcats got out to a 3-0 halftime lead. Corben Woodall, James Garnett, and Elliott Sutton had first half goals for Trigg County. Alex Hurt assisted on two of the scores while Woodall assisted on the other.

Hurt and Garnett added second half goals for the Wildcats. Hurt also added his third assist of the night in the final 40 minutes.

St. Mary’s only score of the night came on a second half penalty kick.

Trigg County improves to 2-6-3 with the win. The Wildcats will host Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
