Lady Rebels Take Down Franklin-Simpson for 12th Straight Time

The Todd County Central Lady Rebels appear to be finding their stride as the volleyball season moves on. The Lady Rebels won their second straight match and third our of their last four with a four-set win on the road at Franklin-Simpson Tuesday night.

The win was the 12th straight for Todd County Central over the Lady Wildcats. The last win for Franklin-Simpson in the series came back on August 20, 2019.

The Lady Rebels took the opening set 25-19 to go up one set to none.

Franklin-Simpson rebounded to take the second set 25-17 to even things up at one set each.

The third set was a tight battle with the Lady Rebels finally taking it 25-23 to take a two sets to one lead in the match.

Todd County Central then closed out the match by winning the fourth set 25-20, taking the match three sets to one.

Allyssa Wofford and Aubri Penick had a big night on the attack for the Lady Rebels. Wofford had 16 kills while Penick added 11.

Shelby Holderman was big at setting things up for the Lady Rebels with 26 assists. Emily Thomas added five service aces.

Todd County Central now gets a week off before hosting the Russellville Lady Panthers in a 13th District contest next Tuesday night.
