Emma Dowell was just never able to string together enough low numbers to advance past the KHSAA State Golf First Round.
The Trigg County junior shot a 101 to finish tied for 65th.
She went out with a 50 and came in with a 51 with a card that featured eight bogeys and no pars on the Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club course.
Dowell’s season ends with a second straight appearance at the KHSAA State First Round and a career-best score earlier in the year.
