Second Half Outburst Carries Christian County Past ACS

Now that is what you call a second half rally. Trailing 1-0 at the break, the Christian County Lady Colonels erupted for six goals in the second half Tuesday night to take a 6-2 road win over Allen County-Scottsville.

Three Lady Colonels scored two goals each to lead the comeback effort. Jayleigh Campbell, Emerson Boyd, and Katelyn Cain, each found the net for Christian County,

Cain’s goals were the first and second of her career at Christian County. She also assisted on one of the goals from Emerson Boyd.

Avery Adcock, who joined the Lady Colonels late in the regular season, provided an assist on one of the goals scored by Cain.

Christian County also got a solid effort in goal from NeZiyah Bell, who ended the match with three saves.

The win ends an 8-match losing streak for the Lady Colonels (2-14-1). They will wrap up the regular season on Thursday at Apollo and then get ready to take on University Heights in the 8th District tournament on Monday.
