Caldwell County senior Matthew Moll had never scored a varsity goal – until he came up with the go-ahead tally in Monday’s win over Hopkins County Central in the 7th District semifinal round.
Moll finished in front of the net with 32:19 to play in the second half. That broke a 1-1 tie, and Caldwell never trailed again on the way to a 4-2 victory.
