In the span of a year, Olivia Oakley has gone from being a key contributor on a region-winning team at University Heights Academy to lone senior and leader of young women – none of which were starters last year.
Oakley leads UHA in kills and aces and had a strong senior night on Sept. 30 with 19 kills and 18 digs in a five-set win over Heritage Christian Academy.
Oakley and the Lady Blazers will see HCA again next week in the district tournament semifinals. She discussed her role as a leader and diagnosed the recent play of the Lady Blazers following her senior night win.
