The athletic teams across the area are not just exceptional when they are on the court or on the field. Many of these teams and their outstanding young people are involved in many different ways in giving back to their school community and their community at large.
Those are the teams that are at the top of the list, or an ‘A-Team’ so to say. In this case, the Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team’. Teams that exhibit great core values like accountability, growth, respect to others, quality, and service.

Such is the case with the boys’ basketball team at Madisonville-North Hopkins. Recently, the Maroons were involved with helping Mrs. Bailey and the SSF Club at the school.
The guys spent some time working to help revitalize some of the landscaping outside the building at Madisonville-North Hopkins High School.
Coach Caleb Nelson says his team culture places a value on ‘servant leadership.’ He says his Maroons look for opportunities to serve both the school and the community.

He adds that his team was ‘honored to take part in the project.’
The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons basketball team, on the court and off, is certainly a great example of a Chick-fil-A ‘A-Team.’
