Colonels Finish Third at Graves County; Morris Runs Personal Best Time

The Christian County cross country team finished in third place at the Graves Eagle Classic on Saturday in Mayfield.

Michael Webb was the top runner for the Colonels with a 9th-place finish in 17:43, while Wyatt Fleming was 10th in 17:49.

Rex Taggart was 26th in a time of 18:28, while Bryce Hamlin came in 32nd place in a time of 18:46 over the 3.1-mile course.

Joseph Parker was 40th in 19:12, followed by Lucas Coates in 46th place (19:21), Nolan Long in 49th place (19:26), Matthew Reeves in 65th place (20:10), Hector Munoz in 67th place (20:22), and Cash Taggart was 117th in 23:00.

Christian County’s team total of 103 was 17 points behind second-place McCracken County. Dawson Springs won the team championship with 54 points.

Meanwhile, in the girls’ race, Taylor Morris ran a personal best time of 20:55, breaking her previous best set in last year’s region meet by one second. She finished in seventh place.

Ellie Brown finished in 28th place with a time of 23:28. Eighth grader Aubree Cline finished in 36th place in 24:29 while seventh grader Lilly Collins was 65th in 29:35.
