Battles against teams expected to contend for the 2nd Region championship highlight the 2024-2025 basketball schedule for the Lyon County Lady Lyons. The reigning 5th District champions will open the season December 3rd on the road.
In warming up for the regular season, the Lady Lyons will take part in the Rise Up event at Madisonville-North Hopkins on November 16. A week later, Lyon County will finish out the preseason with a matchup against Graves County at Marshall County High School.
The season officially tips off December 3 as the Lady Lyons head over to Murray to take on the Lady Tigers. Other road games include trips to Graves County, Caldwell County, Madisonville-North Hopkins, Henderson County, and Carlisle County.
At home, the Lady Lyons will take on Muhlenberg County, Christian County, Caldwell County, Hopkins County Central, and Union County.
The Lady Lyons will again head to Bourbon County for the holidays to take part in the Kelly Holiday Classic December 27-29. Lyon County will also play Massac County December 14 in the Holiday Hoopla, hosted by McCracken County.
And, there will be the usual run through the 5th District against Crittenden County, Livingston Central, and Trigg County.
The Lady Lyons finished 21-10 last season, winning the 5th District championship, before falling to Hopkins County Central in the 2nd Region quarterfinals.
