
Webster County finished in 12th place at the Girls’ Class 2A State Cross Country Meet on Saturday in Lexington.
Junior Mayci Moore led the Lady Trojans across the finish line in 15th place, running the 3.1-mile paddock course at the Kentucky Horse Park in a time of 20:49. It was the second straight top-15 finish for Moore, who finished 11th last year.
Seventh grader Paisley Stone was next across the finish line in 24th place at 21:20.
Fellow seventh grader Alli Bell came in 94th place with a time of 23:54, and senior Addy Heady, running in her final high school race, was 107th in 24:19.
Sara Welshans, who won a region tennis title in the spring, finished in 169th place with a clocking of 27:10. Lily Dunbar was 208th in 30:51.
The Lady Trojans finished in 12th place, seven points behind 11th place Warren East.
