Lady Trojans Finish in 12th at State Meet (w/PHOTOS)

Webster County finished in 12^th place at the Girls’ Class 2A State Cross Country Meet on Saturday in Lexington.

Junior Mayci Moore led the Lady Trojans across the finish line in 15^th place, running the 3.1-mile paddock course at the Kentucky Horse Park in a time of 20:49. It was the second straight top-15 finish for Moore, who finished 11^th last year.

Seventh grader Paisley Stone was next across the finish line in 24^th place at 21:20.

Fellow seventh grader Alli Bell came in 94^th place with a time of 23:54, and senior Addy Heady, running in her final high school race, was 107^th in 24:19.

Sara Welshans, who won a region tennis title in the spring, finished in 169^th place with a clocking of 27:10. Lily Dunbar was 208^th in 30:51.

The Lady Trojans finished in 12^th place, seven points behind 11^th place Warren East.
