Young Bravettes Run at State Cross Country Meet (w/PHOTOS)

Union County had three middle schoolers and a sophomore compete at Saturday’s Class 2A State Cross Country Meet in Lexington.

Eighth grader Isabella Graham came in 96^th place with a time of 23:57 over the 3.1-mile course at the Kentucky Horse Park. Graham ran last year at state as a seventh grader with Saturday’s time an improvement of over four minutes.

Eighth-grader Kinslee Gray was 156^th in 26:24.

Sophomore Audrey Burgess was 173^rd in 27:33 and seventh grader Riley Nobles was 186^th in 28:24.

Gray, Burgess, and Nobles were making their state meet debut.
