Webster County continued its tradition of producing top-three finishes at the region cheerleading competition as they brought home a third-place finish Saturday from Barren County.
Webster recorded a team score of 78.50 in the Game Day Large Division – its highest score at the region level since the KHSAA changed its scoring method in 2016.
They finished 8.9 points behind second place Hopkins County Central and a chance at a trip to next month’s state competition.
Webster County has finished in the top three at region eight of the last nine years.
