Two Christian County Lady Colonels are listed among the state’s top players in a preseason ranking of girls’ high school basketball players. Senior NeVaeh Day and junior Anaysia Bagwell are among those ranked in the Top 30 girls’ players in the state by the Courier Journal’s.
The rankings were based on a vote of high school coaches across the state.
Bagwell is ranked 25th on the list while Day is ranked 29th.
Sacred Heart’s ZaKiyah Johnson, who is headed to LSU, is in the top spot on the Top 30 list. Leah Macy, of Bethlehem, a Notre Dame commit, is ranked second.
Sayler Lowe (#13), of Calloway County, and Hannah Glisson (#26), of Graves County, are the only other players from Western Kentucky to make the Top 30 list.
