The Todd County Central Rebels did not play like it was their opening preseason scrimmage Friday night. The Lady Rebel defense looked as if it were in mid-season mode as Todd County Central limited Muhlenberg County to just 33 total points in a 72-33 win in Elkton.

The Lady Rebels came out ready to go, winning the first quarter 20-6. The offense slowed down a bit in the second quarter but the defense continued to keep the clamps on the Lady Mustangs. Todd County Central won the second quarter 15-5.

Not much changed after the break. The Lady Rebels kept pulling away, outscoring Muhlenberg County 17-9 in the third. They would then close out the varsity portion of the scrimmage with a 20-13 win in the 4th quarter.

Four Lady Rebels hit double figures in the scrimmage. JaMya Kay led Todd County Central with 18 points. 4th Region Player of the Year candidate Alexis Taylor and Jordyn Shemwell scored 15 points each. Daymea Garrett rounded out the double-digit scoring with 13 points.

The Lady Rebels will play their final preseason scrimmage Tuesday night when they host Ohio County. They open the regular season December 2 on the road at McLean County.
