The Caldwell County High School football team has had seven players earn 2024 All-WKC recognition, including two players named to the All-WKC First Team.
Junior kicker Sutton Ritchey and senior defensive back Luke Parker made the first team in voting by football coaches of the Western Kentucky Conference.
Ritchey was almost automatic on extra points and provided deep kickoffs this season while Parker tied a 61-year-old school record with nine interceptions.
Five other players received All-WKC mention as well — sophomore quarterback Daelyn Lander, senior running back/linebacker Kameron Spikes, senior receiver Gus Fox, senior receiver Luke Maddox and junior linebacker Jack Roach.
Caldwell concluded the season 5-7 against a difficult schedule. However, the Tigers had a three-game winning streak late in the year, with rivalry wins over Crittenden County and Trigg County along with a playoff victory at Fort Campbell.
Caldwell lost at Mayfield in the second round of the Class 2A playoffs.
The All-WKC performers will be recognized at a banquet Wednesday night at Marshall County High School.
