
The Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons have won back-to-back games after rolling past Greenwood 60-41 Monday night in Maroon Gym.
Both teams were sluggish early, with Madisonville edging ahead 10-8 after one period.
But the Lady Maroons caught fire in the second period, outscoring the Lady Gators 25-13 in the frame to get to halftime with a 35-21 advantage.
Madisonville (4-3) extended the margin to 25 points in the third quarter before taking a 51-28 advantage to the final frame.
Bryanne Johnson scored 19 points and Riley Sword had 17 to pace the Lady Maroons, who also got 12 points and 14 rebounds from SaNya Carney.
Madisonville’s girls will be in action again on Tuesday when they visit Muhlenberg County.
