
Heralded recruit JaShawn “JJ” Andrews had 25 points and eight rebounds as Little Rock Christian Academy handled Bowling Green 66-45 in the final game of the 2024 West Kentucky Hoops Classic Saturday night.
Andrews, a 6-foot-7 wing with offers from numerous Div. I schools including Arkansas, Illinois, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Missouri, Texas Tech and Marquette, had 60 points and 23 boards as the Warriors claimed two wins in Caldwell County’s holiday event.
LRCA (12-3) led 19-14 after one quarter and 40-24 at halftime.
The Warriors went up by as much as 29 points in the second half.
K.D. Hicks added 14 points for the Arkansas school.
Bowling Green (8-2), coached by Caldwell grad D.G. Sherrill, got 17 points from Braylon Banks.
The Purples opened the event with a win over East Coweta (Georgia) Friday night.
