Heritage Christian Academy’s Jason Leek knocked down six three-pointers on the way to a school-record 51 points on Friday to propel the Warriors to an 84-60 victory over visiting Crittenden County.
Leek drilled four threes in a 21-point first quarter to point HCA towards its second win in three outings ahead of its 8th-district opener against University Heights Academy on Tuesday.
Camron Belcher and Kaiden Travis combined for 13 points in the opening frame to keep the Rockets in the game, but Leek added 12 more in the second to outscore Crittenden on his own 33-28 at the break.
Coby LaRue and Brayden Poindexter each scored six in the third for the Rockets, but the Warriors put it on cruise in the second half. With HCA leading by 19 to start the fourth, Leek closed the show with 14 points to cap a record night and extend the advantage.
Carlos Robles held the previous single-game record with 44 points in 2022. Leek scored 43 earlier this season in a victory over Clarksville Christian.
Samuel Thompson joined Leek in double figures with 11 for the Warriors.
