Two area girls’ basketball players are among the state’s top scorers as the 2025 portion of the season gets underway. The KHSAA released the first update of statistical leaders Monday.
In the YourSportsEdge.Com coverage area, Lyon County’s Piper Cotham and Todd County Central’s Alexis Taylor are among those listed in the Top 50 in scoring.
The Lady Lyon’s Cotham is ranked 33rd with an average of 19.2 points per contest.
Todd County Central’s Alexis Taylor is averaging 18.5 points a game, which has her 41st in the state.
Maggie Simons, of Nicholas County, leads Kentucky girls in scoring at 30.4 points per game.
