
It was an offensive eruption for the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons Monday night. The Lady Falcons scored their most points in a game in nearly 13 years as they routed Caverna 75-46 on post.
The last time the Lady Falcons scored more than 75 was back in January 2007 in an 82-20 win in Providence. Prior to Monday night, the last time Fort Campbell scored as many as 73 points in a game was back in December 2012 in a game against Community Christian.
Behind the inside-outside combination of Saniyah Bell and Rosella Rajj, the Lady Falcons took a 17-13 lead after the first quarter. The duo combined to score 13 points in the first 8 minutes of the game.
Cavena hung with the Lady Falcons during the second quarter and held the margin to 29-25 going into the half.
As the second half got going, the Lady Falcons found their shooting eye from behind the arc. Fort Campbell knocked down six 3-pointers in the third quarter as they ran the lead out to 55-29.
With Rosella Rajj leading the way with 10 4th quarter points, the Lady Falcons continued to pull away in the fourth quarter and took the 29-point win.
Rosella Rajj had a big night for Fort Campbell, finishing with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Kyndal Bradley and A’mari Grimsley added 10 points each. Saniyah Bell hit three shots from behind the arc and ended up with 9 points.
Morgan Thompson was the only Lady Colonel to hit double figures with 22 points.
Fort Campbell improves to 2-5 with the win and will take on Montgomery Central Thursday night.
