The Crittenden County Lady Rockets now know who they will face Wednesday in the opening round of the 2025 All A Classic state tournament. Martin County advanced out of the 15th Region Thursday night with a 41-40 win over Betsy Layne.
It was a historic win for the Lady Cardinals as they won the All A regional title for the first time ever. Pikeville had won the previous three 15th Region All A championships.
Martin County stands at 9-4 on the season after their win Thursday night, which was their 5th straight win. The Lady Cardinals are scheduled to play Monday night at home against Raceland.
While Martin County is making its first trip to the All A Classic state tournament, Crittenden County is making a third straight trip and 10th all-time.
Martin County is led by junior Brooklyn Marcum and freshman Maci Maynard. Marcum averages 15.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game, while Maynard averages 12.3 points and 11.9 rebounds per contest.
Crittenden County and Martin County are slated to play Wednesday night at 8pm at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
