
After picking up a big win over Hopkins County Central on Friday, Caldwell County could not keep the momentum going Saturday in its trip to Louisville.
The Tigers led 17-16 at DeSales after one quarter, but the homestanding Colts came back to claim an 84-64 decision.
DeSales (9-9) went ahead 38-31 at halftime and built a 60-43 lead through three quarters in the first-ever meeting on the basketball court between the two schools.
Cameron Bischoff scored 24 points and Marshall Miller had 22 for the Colts, who shot 60 percent from the floor (33 of 55) and made 13 of 29 attempts from 3-point range. Bischoff was 6 of 13 from long range while Miller was 4 for 7.
Caldwell (11-7) had four players score in double figures. Collin Whittington had 15 points and Kam Wilson 13. Jaydarius Wilson and Mitchell Phelps each added 10 points.
The Tigers are now off until Friday when they visit Hopkins Central for 7th District action.
