Leek Scores 37 as HCA Falls to Christian Fellowship

Christian Fellowship used a big second half to rally past the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors Saturday. CFS scored 52 2nd half points to come from behind at the half and take an 81-60 win over the Warriors.

HCA opened the game with a strong 1st quarter effort. Behind 14 points from Jason Leek, the Warriors took a 25-18 lead after the first 8 minutes of the game.

The Eagles limited the Warriors to just 8 points in the second quarter, but HCA still held a 33-29 lead going into the break.

Coming out of the half, it was all Christian Fellowship. Behind Elijah Grigg and Samual Grigg, the Eagles got their offense flowing in high gear and took a 52-43 lead after three.

The attack kept rolling in the final quarter as CFS hung 29 points on the board and pulled away to take the 21 point win.

Jason Leek, Kentucky’s leading scorer going into the game, finished the day with 37 points. Samuel Thompson added 8 for HCA.

CFS’s Eliljah Grigg scored 34 to lead the Eagles. Samual Grigg scored 15.

Heritage Christian (5-14) goes on the road Tuesday to take on Trigg County.
