The Hopkins County Central Storm entered their game on the road at Webster County Tuesday night bearing the burden of a four-game losing streak. The Trojans had their own streak going on, having lost six straight games going into the night.
One of the two was going to end the skid and build a little positive momentum as January nears its end.
Turns out it was the Trojans’ night.
Webster County fought off the Storm and took a 60-56 win on their homecourt in Dixon.
The win for the Trojans was the first since the calendar turned the page over into 2025. Their last win had come December 28th against Hancock County at the Owensboro Sportscenter.
Hopkins County Central falls to 7-11 with the loss and now gets ready to go to Dawson Springs on Friday. The Panthers will be riding high on the momentum of Tuesday night’s win against Madisonville-North Hopkins.
