Caldwell Wrestlers Place 4th at King of the Mill

The Caldwell County Tiger wrestling team tied for fourth out of 14 teams Saturday in the King of the Mill tournament at Ohio County.

The Tigers tied with the host school for fourth.

Central Hardin won the team title with 142.5 points. Louisville Ballard was runner-up with 120.5 points while Meade County took third with 110.

Caldwell and Ohio each had 96.5 points, just ahead of sixth-place LaRue County, which had 95 points.

Justin Klidzejs led the Caldwell effort with a first-place showing at 126 pounds. He went 4-0 while claiming the championship in that class.

Cale Goodwin took second at 190.

Two other Tiger wrestlers finished third —Elijha Kirby at 132 and Donovan Rogers at 144.

Aiden Graham took fifth place at 120 while Haoyang Wu was fifth at 138 and Jacob Forsythe placed fifth at 157.

Evan Ramage and Jonas Martin each finished sixth, at 165 and 215 pounds, respectively.

Trey Herron was seventh at 106.

The Tiger matmen will have their final regular-season competition this Saturday at North Oldham.

The boys’ regional wrestling tournament is coming up Saturday, Feb. 22, at Paducah Tilghman.
