The Hopkins County Central Lady Storm suffered a setback against Allen County-Scottsville Saturday night, marking their second loss to the Lady Patriots this season.

Hopkins Central held a slim 12-11 lead after the first quarter, paced by Bri Dulin’s 5 points.

However, ACS chipped away at the lead in the second quarter, outscoring the Lady Storm 15-13, thanks in part to 7 points from Avery Morris. ACS took a narrow 26-25 advantage into halftime.

Despite a combined 10 points from Tyah White and Addie Menser in the third quarter, ACS pulled away, scoring 20 points in the period to extend their lead to 49-39 heading into the fourth quarter.

The Lady Storm couldn’t overcome the deficit, and ACS ultimately took the 10 point win.

Tyah White led Hopkins Central with 18 points, followed by Addie Menser with 14, Calajia Mason with 13, and Bri Dulin with 10.

Hopkins County Central, now 13-12 on the season, will host the Crittenden County Lady Rockets on Tuesday.
