
A tough season for the Todd County Central Rebels continued Monday night. The Rebels fell to 0-4 in 13th District play with a 66-41 home loss to the Franklin-Simpson Wildcats.
The loss extends the Rebels’ losing streak to 18 games and drops their overall record to 1-24 for the season.
Franklin-Simpson came out firing, scoring 19 points in the first quarter, including six from Brody McAlister, to take the early 19-8 lead.
The Rebels’ offense showed some signs of life late in the second quarter. However, the Wildcats’ offensive firepower proved too much for the Rebels to handle, as they extended their lead to 37-20 by halftime.
The second half saw Franklin-Simpson continue to pull away, ultimately taking the 25-point win.
Connor Holder led the Rebels in scoring with 13 points, while J.J. Glass contributed 12.
For Franklin-Simpson, Jakai Partinger led all scorers with 20 points, and Brody McAlister added 10.
Todd County Central will get back to action Friday night at home against the Russellville Panthers.
