
Mayfield pulled away in the second half to deal Caldwell County a 76-61 setback on Monday.
Malik Kirby and Owen Webb each scored 20 points for the Cardinals, who are now 19-8 on the season.
Caldwell trailed just 16-14 after one quarter and 35-30 at halftime.
But the Tigers could not make up ground in the second half, as Mayfield took a 55-47 lead through three quarters. The Cardinals put the game away by outscoring Caldwell 21-14 in the final frame.
Owen Byrd and Gray Robbins each added 10 points for Mayfield.
Daelyn Lander led Caldwell with 16 points while Pax Aikins added 11.
The Tigers are now 16-10.
Caldwell is scheduled to host Webster County for Senior Night on Tuesday at the CAB gym.
