Before the season started, Dawson Springs senior Montgomery Johnston said one of his goals for this season was to hang a banner.
The Panthers will have the chance to put up a championship banner when they face Madisonville-North Hopkins Thursday in the 7th District title tilt in Princeton.
Monday’s semifinal win over Caldwell County also saw Johnston set the Panther career scoring mark with his first basket of the night. With 43 points in the triumph, he is now just 16 points away from 2,000.
Your Sports Edge spoke with Johnston after the victory.
