Former Caldwell County standout Derrin Boyd scored a game-high 25 points to help the College of Charleston roll past Campbell 87-65 on Senior Night.

Boyd made a season-high seven triples on Saturday in his final home game for the Cougars. The graduate student added five rebounds and two assists to his stat line.

Boyd finishes the regular season averaging 13.7 points a game, which is second on the team. He has started 28 straight games for the Cougars.

Boyd has scored 397 points this season for Charleston, which is now 23-8 overall and 13-5 in Coastal Athletic Association play.

Boyd topped 1,000 points at the NCAA Div. I level earlier this season and currently stands at 1,130 — including 733 points in two seasons at Lipscomb University in Nashville.

However, if you add in the 945 points that Boyd scored in two seasons at NAIA Georgetown College, his collegiate point total is at 2,075.
