The Todd County Central Lady Rebels got runners on base in every inning but one, but could not find a way to push a run across the plate as they dropped a 3-0 decision in a preseason scrimmage Saturday on the road at Hart County.
Hart County broke a scoreless tie with a pair of runs in the bottom of the 5th and then added an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th.
Freshman Olivia Weikel led the Lady Rebels at the plate with two hits, both doubles. Naomi Welborn, Maliyah Merriweather, and Isabelle Hightower had one hit each.
In the circle, Addison Woodall went 3 ⅓-innings, giving up no runs on two hits, striking out four and walking two. Olivia Weikel went 3 ⅔-innings, giving up three runs, just one of them earned, on four hits, striking out five and walking three.
