Former Caldwell County Tiger standout Derrin Boyd has earned all-conference honors at the College of Charleston this season.
The Coastal Athletic Association announced its postseason honors on Thursday.
Boyd was named to the All-CAA Third Team.
He was one of four Cougars to earn all-conference mention.
A graduate student from Princeton, Boyd averaged 13.7 points per game and 3.2 rebounds per game, shooting 41 percent from the field in his first season with the Cougars.
He scored a season-high 26 points against Hampton, recording seven 20-plus point performances. He ended the season draining seven 3-pointers and going 60 percent from the field with 25 points and five rebounds against Campbell.
The Cougars are the No. 3 seeds in the 2025 Jersey Mike’s CAA Men’s Basketball Championship in Washington, D.C. The team will begin play on Sunday at 8:30 p.m. Eastern time against No. 6 Monmouth.
