Lyon County sophomore Piper Cotham has been named the 2nd Region Basketball Coaches Association 2024-25 Girls Player of the Year.
Cotham received her award Saturday night following the championship game of the regional tournament at Christian County High School in Hopkinsville.
Cotham averaged 19.4 points a game this season while leading the Lady Lyons to a 21-10 mark.
Lyon was the 5th District runner-up to Crittenden County and fell to eventual champion Henderson County in the first round of the 2nd Region tournament.
In December, Cotham become the fastest Lady Lyon to get to 1,000 career points. She will go into her junior season at Lyon with 1,463 points.
