
Former Caldwell County Tiger standout Jabrion Spikes and the Georgetown College Tigers are headed to Kansas City for the Round of 16 in the NAIA Men’s Basketball National Championship.
Georgetown played the first two rounds of the tournament at home this weekend.
Spikes had 12 points, seven rebounds and three assists on Friday as the Tigers defeated LSU Shreveport 92-78 in first round action.
On Saturday, Spikes had eight points, seven boards and four assists in an 83-64 win over Saint Francis (Indiana).
A junior, Spikes is averaging 13.1 points and 3.9 rebounds a game this season for the Tigers.
Georgetown, a No. 2 seed in the tourney, is now 28-4.
The Tigers will next take on No. 6 seed Northwestern (Iowa) in the Round of 16.
That game will be on Thursday at 7 p.m. CDT inside Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City.
