Cory Coble has stepped down as girls’ basketball coach at Union County after three seasons.
Coble was 48-37 in three seasons as head coach of the Bravettes, advancing to the region tournament each of the past two seasons.
Union County advanced to the championship game of the Class 2A sectionals in his first season at the helm in 2022-23.
“My step-daughter is going to be a freshman at Webster County (next year) and it’s time to be a dad and support her as a fan,” Coble said, adding he was not looking for another coaching position.
Coble was 82-89 at Trigg County before his tenure at Union County, leading the Lady Wildcats to three consecutive district championships where he coached from 2016-22.
Coble has been named the KABC coach of the year three times — twice at Trigg County and in 2022-23 at Union County.
