Lady Warriors Power Past Dawson Springs 21-6 (w/PHOTOS)

Heritage Christian pounded out 16 hits and used an 11 run second inning to roll past the Dawson Springs Lady Panthers 22-6 Monday evening for their second win of the season.

Dawson Springs took a brief 2–0 lead after the top of first. The Lady Warriors then came right back with 5 runs in the bottom half of the inning and never trailed again.

HCA (2-2) sent 15 batters to the plate in the bottom of the second, scoring 11 runs and running the lead out to 16-4.

After Dawson Springs plated a couple of runs in the top of the fourth, the Lady Warriors closed out the game with 5 runs in the bottom of the inning to get to the 15-run rule.

Madison Warren had a big game at the plate for Heritage, going 3-3 with a double, 4 RBIs, and four runs scored. Presley Brewer ended up 3-3 with a home run, 3 RBIs, and 3 runs scored. Layton Weeks was 2-3 with a double, a triple, 3 RBIs, and a run scored. Hadlee Hayes helped out at 2-4 with 3 RBIs and two runs scored.

Dawson Springs (0-3) was led by Katie Blanchard, who went 2-2 with an RBI and a run scored. Briley Sawyer, Alieah Cook, and Mollie Back had one hit each for the Lady Panthers.

Layton Weeks pitched all four innings for Heritage Christian, giving up all six runs on six hits, striking out seven and walking six.
