Maroons’ Big First Inning Leads to Victory Over Falcons 16-1

Make it back-to-back wins for Madisonville-North Hopkins. The Maroons defeated Fort Campbell 16-1 in three innings Friday in Madisonville.

The Maroons scored 11 runs in the first inning, highlighted by Lane Faulk’s two-run double, Jaziyon Latham’s RBI single, and Ryder Sandige’s two-run single.

Fort Campbell’s lone run came from a bases-loaded walk in the second.

Madisonville-North Hopkins ended the game via the 15-run rule with four runs in the third.

Jayce Weaver earned the win, allowing 6 hits and striking out 6. Chase Cribbett took the loss, allowing 11 earned runs. Andren Moore also pitched for Fort Campbell, allowing 3 earned runs.

Madisonville-North Hopkins improved to 6-6 and plays Hopkins Central on Saturday. Fort Campbell fell to 1-8 and plays Fort Knox.
