Lady Rebels Split with Trigg and Kenwood at Kelly Russell Classic

The Todd County Central Lady Rebels split a pair during their appearance Saturday in the Kelly Russell Classic in Russellville. The Lady Rebels dropped a 7-1 decision to Trigg County and then rebounded to roll past Kenwood 18-1.

In the game against Trigg County, the Lady Wildcats scored four times in the top half of the first and never trailed on their way to a 7-1 win over the Lady Rebels.

Trigg County pitcher Tember Oliver limited the Lady Rebels to just two hits for the game, one of those was a home run from Addison Woodall.

The Lady Wildcats got a big game at the plate from Kady Fuller, who ended up going 2-3 with a double, a home run, and had five RBIs. MaKenna Hendricks added three hits for Trigg County.

The Lady Rebels rebounded nicely in their second game of the day, scoring 18 runs and taking an 18-1 3-inning win over Kenwood. Todd County Central led 4-1 going into the third inning and then hung 14 on the board as 18 Lady Rebels went to the plate in the inning.

Kenwood helped the Lady Warriors out with six errors and 8 walks.

Naomi Welborn went 2-3 with a home run and 4 RBIs. Dakotah Gammon ended up 2-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored.

7th grader Aliah Suttle went the distance in the circle for the Lady Rebels, giving up one run on three hits, striking out five and walking none.

With the split, Todd County Central now stands at 7-3 on the season.
