Make it two in a row for the Lyon County Lady Lyons. Lyon County scored five unanswered runs to come back from an early 2-0 deficit and take a 5-2 win over the Crittenden County Lady Rockets in a big 5th District matchup at Lee S. Jones Park.
Andrea Federico drove in a pair of runs with a double in the top of the first to spot the Lady Rockets out to a 2-0 lead.
Olivia Moore hit her second home run of the season to tie the game at 2-2 in the bottom of the fourth. The Lady Lyons then took the lead in the fifth when Courtney Collins reached base on a Crittenden County error that allowed Audrey Akridge to score. Jenna Coursey followed that with an RBI single and the Lyon County lead was at 4-2.
The Lady Lyons added an insurance run in the bottom of the 6th on an RBI single from Ava Prow.
Audrey Akridge finished the night 2-3 with a run scored. Olivia Moore was 1-3 with a home run, 2 RBIs, and a run scored. Jenna Coursey was 1-1 with an RBI, a run scored, and two walks.
Lilly Perry went the distance in the circle to pick up the win. She gave up two runs on four hits, striking out six and walking two.
Lyon County improves to 5-6 with the win while Crittenden County drops to 5-5.
