Heritage Christian Academy has named Jenny Arvin its new girls’ basketball coach for the 2025-26 season.

HCA Athletic Director Matt McGowan said Arvin joined the HCA staff late in the 2024-25 season under Josh Bridges, who resigned after last season.

Jenny had an extensive, successful playing career at Lexington Christian Academy and followed that up as a four-year player on scholarship at Campbellsville University,” McGowan said in a media release on Thursday. “Her family has been connected to HCA for the past eleven years, and she has taught at HCA for the past three years.”

Arvin will be responsible for rebuilding an HCA girls’ basketball program that enjoyed some level of success when the school was a member of the Kentucky Christian Athletic Association. The Lady Warriors won a region title in 2018 and played in the KCAA state championship game.

However, the program has struggled with numbers since making the move to the KHSAA ahead of the 2021-22 season. HCA was 5-13 against KHSAA competition during its two-year probationary period with two of those wins coming against district opponent Fort Campbell. But since becoming a full member of the KHSAA, the Lady Warriors are 1-35 including an 0-17 record in the 2024-25 season that saw them withdraw from district competition and opt to not play in the postseason.

McGowan says Arvin is looking forward to working on offseason development and is “excited to help our girls grow in not only their game, but also their character and their walk with the Lord.”
