Bowling Green’s Hadley Morrison struck out 12 and held hosts Hopkins County Central to a pair of hits on Friday on the way to a 13-1 Purple’s victory.

Morrison allowed a single unearned run to pick up her eighth win of the season and help the Purples snap a two-game skid to improve to 9-7.

Emily Ballard took the loss in the circle for Hopkins Central, allowing nine runs, three earned, on nine hits with three strikeouts.  Ballard and Emily Blanchard each had a hit for the Lady Storm.

JaNyah Perkins led the way for the Purples with three hits and two RBI, followed by Natalie Klein, Payton Steward, and Ampro DeJesus with two hits and a run driven in.

The Lady Storm slipped to 4-18 and will look to get back on track on Saturday when they welcome the Owensboro Christian Knights to Morton’s Gap.
