The Muhlenberg County Lady Mustangs used a big first inning to springboard to their sixth straight win Monday evening. The Lady Mustangs plated six runs in the bottom of the first and rolled on to an 11-1 win over the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm.
The Lady Mustangs added two runs in the bottom of the third and then three more in the bottom of the 5th to walk off the ten-run win.
The Lady Storm scored their only run of the game in the top of the second when Brinley Stephens led off the inning with a walk, advanced to second on a ground out, move to third on a passed ball, and then scored on another groundout.
Cadence Allen, Reese Blanford, and Zoey Hibbs had one hit each for the Lady Storm.
Hopkins County Central is now off until next Monday when the Lady Storm are set to host University Heights Academy.
