A combination of hot hitting for the opponent and fielding issues of their own was a bit too much for the Hopkins County Central Lady Storm to overcome Monday night. Union County took advantage of seven Lady Storm errors and pounded out 13 hits as the Bravettes rolled to a 16-0 three-inning win in Mortons Gap.
The Bravettes put up 8 runs in the first, two more in the second, and then closed out the game with six runs in the top of the third.
In the circle, Peyton Jenkins gave up just three hits in her three innings of work for Union County. She struck out four and walked three.
Brinley Stephens, Reese Blanford, and Cassidy Knight had one hit each for the Lady Storm.
With the loss, Hopkins County Central drops to 6-18-1 for the season.
