A broken hand couldn’t keep Logan Wring from posting big numbers on the basketball court for Livingston Central in 2024-25, and that was one of the reasons for his being named to the Tom Leach All-Resilent Team honor on Thursday in Louisville.

The All-Resilient Team honors student-athletes from Kentucky high schools who have had to overcome some form of adversity to compete and often excel in sports, within the previous calendar year.  University of Kentucky broadcaster Tom Leach recognized the selections at Thursday’s Kentucky Athletic Administrators’ Association banquet.

Wring missed 10 games last basketball season for the Cardinals with a broken hand. The day he was cleared to play, his grandmother passed away, and Logan honored her memory with a 30-point, 20-rebound performance in a Jan. 17 district win over Crittenden County.

Wring averaged 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Cardinals and concluded his season with a 29-point night against Madisonville-North Hopkins in the region tournament – Livingston Central’s first appearance in eight seasons.

He was named All-District and All-Region for a second straight season.

It’s the second straight year a Livingston Central athlete received a Tom Leach All-Resilient Team nod, joining softball player Hadley Hargrove from last year.
